Our Story
In the fall of 2019 at a routine ultrasound, we were told our precious baby girl had several complex heart defects. She would need open heart surgery in her first week of life. Her name? Emma Valentine. She spent 6 months at Duke Children’s Hospital following her operation and has had 3 heart catheterizations. Through this journey, we have felt the love and support of our community in an overwhelming way. We want all families facing congenital heart disease to feel that same love and support.
This is why we are choosing to donate money to CHD families, our local heart centers and people in need.
We look forward to keeping our clients updated on how the funds are being used to bless others. To read more of Emma Valentine’s story please click on the link below and visit:

Our Plan
Donate money to CHD families and other families in need
Update clients annually on how funds are used
While our family was inpatient and facing the hardest days of our life, some of the most helpful support we received was financial. A GoFund Me was generously set up and we were blessed with gift cards to restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations! This not only changed our lives, but kept the roof over our heads – literally.
Giving:
Every year, all throughout the year, we provide families in-patient at Duke Children’s Heart Center with VISA gift cards. This can be used towards toys for their children, hotel expenses, food or even a bill that was needing to be paid. We also send the hospital very in-demand items for the babies. These were comforting items which Emma Valentine loved during her time there, but comforts she couldn’t always have as they were in short supply.
